Volunteering in Rollersports

Volunteers are vital to every club around Australia and Skate Victoria recognises that volunteers give their time willingly and without expectation of a reward, so we offer free membership to all volunteers in all disciplines Australia wide.

There are so many benefits of volunteering from making new friends to learning new skills. Volunteering can help you build confidence and develop personally to enjoy better physical and mental health while enjoying new social and cultural experiences.

Rollersports offers many varied opportunities to volunteer over several disciplines, both on and off skates.

Each competitive roller sports discipline has different rules of their game, and clubs have various requirements and different pathways of learning progression.

Skate Victoria has several online courses that our clubs utilise for this.

Please contact your nearest club if you are interested in learning to officiate in one of our roller sports disciplines.

Coaches

Coaching in roller sports can be a very rewarding experience, you have the opportunity to make a significant and positive difference in a person’s life.

Skate Victoria has many coaching courses available to our affiliated clubs that cover the theory component and clubs deliver the practical learning.

Administration

Clubs can require many volunteers to run effectively, from committee members to safety officers, with many clubs having a variety of roles available.

Without these tireless volunteers, clubs could not function.

While many administrative roles have a high level of responsibility, they are all very rewarding for the commitment and time put into them.

Please contact your nearest club if you are interested in administrating in one of our roller sports disciplines.
