Skater Intake – East Vic Roller Derby (Dandenong, Victoria)

East Vic Roller Derby’s Freshmeat program is a 10 week program for new skaters.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of skating and roller derby, increase your fitness and discover the thrill of cruisin’ around on 8 wheels.

WHO CAN REGISTER
So long as you’re over the age of 18, this program is for you! You don’t need any prior skate experience – we’ll teach you everything you need to know
INTAKE DATE: Sunday 10 January
WHEN: Sundays 4.15pm – 5.45pm, arrive 15 minutes early on your first day
WHERE: ‘The Shed – Skate Victoria’, (Exhibition Building), Greaves Reserve, Dandenong, bit.ly/theshedskatevic
WEAR: Comfortable clothing, think leggings, t-shirt, etc (we recommend against uncomfy, rigid denim etc) and sneakers for off-skates activities.
BRING: A drink bottle, pre- or post-snack if you want, a mask, and anything else to help you stay hydrated and comfortable.
COST: $85 for compulsory skate insurance, $100 for 10 week term
GEAR: You will need:
* Mouthguard – buy a Sisu one from us for $30
* Wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads – borrow them from us free
* Skates – bring your own or hire skates from us for the full term for $40

It’s up to all of us to slow the spread of COVID-19.
