Australia Day Parade
Monday 26 January 2015
Expressions of interest are now open to participate in the Australia Day Parade 2015.
The Parade encourages Victorians to come together on Australia Day to celebrate and promote our rich culture and diverse community.
It is Melbourne’s feature Australia Day celebration, a tradition that has been held for the last 13 years. The parade involves more than 4,000 participants with around 10,000 people lining Swanston Street to watch.
The Parade starts at approximately 11am following the Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony at the Melbourne Town Hall, runs along Swanston Street and down into St Kilda Road.
Australia Day Victoria seeks your expression of interest to participate. Groups are requested to submit an application indicating how they will represent their organisation. You may like to include a CD of vision, music or photos alongside a written application.
To register your interest, please complete the enclosed form and return to the address indicated by Friday 3 October. Your organisation will be notified by Friday 31 October as to whether it has been accepted to participate.
We can think of no better way to express our national pride than through the many communities that make up our great state.
