Well done Harry in Korea!

Our Congratulations go to Caribbean Speed Club member, Harry Stogdale who represented Victoria and Australia at the recent Korean Open Speed Championships in June. The level of racing at the Championship was indeed world class!

Harry was part of a small group of skaters from Victoria at the Championships. Harry was awarded the Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) in the Middle School Men category – he received a cash prize and flowers on the podium. Winning GOLD was also the highlight in the Foreigner’s Relay with his team mates, Liam & John from the Eltham Club. They competed against other countries such as Indonesia, Iran, Columbia, Chinese Taipei and Japan in the Relay.

Here are the results of Harry’s events:
TRACK RACING (BANKED TRACK):·
- 9th place – in 10 km Points Elimimation race
· 6th place – in 1 km heat with time 1:33:81
· 16th place – in 15 km Elimimation race
· 5th place – in Relay Heat (in High School Men division with Liam Garriga – Eltham Club)


ROAD RACING:
-6th place – in 10 km Points Race
· Top 8 in 500 m
· 8th place – in 20 km Elimination race
· 1st in Foreign relay (with two team mates from Eltham Club)
- A big GOLD medal !!!
